CUETS Recognized by United Way of Regina with Corporate Philanthropy Award

CUETS was honoured by the United Way of Regina with a Distinguished Corporate Philanthropy Award on April 27th at the non-profit organization’s Annual Tribute Luncheon.

Every year, the United Way presents the award to corporate partners for their exceptional contributions to the community. The Distinguished Corporate Philanthropy Award is dedicated to outstanding corporate community support, and to the spirit of leadership in building a stronger community as a whole. This year, CUETS was presented the prestigious award along with PCL Construction Management.

“CUETS is delighted to accept this award. It’s a privilege to be singled out with PCL Construction from the hundreds of community-minded companies in the city,” said Bob Lane, Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Support, who accepted the award on behalf of CEO Stan Kuss and CUETS. “Throughout our 25 year history - and especially over the last 10 - CUETS has made a deliberate commitment to the communities in which we work and live. Our Community Care Program, and the tireless volunteer efforts of our employees, have become defining features of the organization. Receiving this award is truly an honour, and a wonderful tribute to the hundreds of people who have made CUETS well-known for our community spirit over the last 25 years.”

In presenting the award, the United Way recognized CUETS for our commitment to the United Way’s annual Circle of Care campaign which has experienced a 26% increase since 2003, as well as our joint efforts with SaskCentral, Concentra, Celero, and CUDGC in forming last year’s A United Way for the United Way campaign. In addition to our fundraising support, CUETS was acknowledged as being the first Regina company to make a commitment to the United Way’s Tomorrow Fund by contributing $10,000 annually to the Community Innovations stream of the fund. CUETS was also commended for its innovative CHOICE REWARDS charitable giving redemption option. The program, which was introduced last June, allows cardholders to donate the points they earn using their CHOICE REWARDS^® MasterCard^® as a charitable gift to the United Way of Canada’s national early childhood initiatives. Points can also be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
