Leadership and Expertise

Earlier today, Chief Executive Officer Stan Kuss announced the appointment of Brian Guillemin, Sandra Bergen and Tom Kindred to key management roles in the organization.

Tom Kindred brings to CUETS many years of progressive management experience with SaskTel, several of which focused on new product/service development, large project management and transforming client needs into technology-independent solutions. Tom's career development has been supported by a continuous commitment to education, as evidenced by his undergraduate designations in Electronic Information Systems Engineering and Administration, and Master of Science in Engineering.

Brian Guillemin, well known within the credit union system in his former role of CUETS' Director of Merchant Products and Merchant Products Support, will apply his considerable product development experience and industry knowledge to ensuring that credit unions and CUETS are well-positioned to deliver a complete range of effective electronic transaction products and services to merchants in the years ahead. Brian's background includes undergraduate studies in Data Processing and Administration, several years of system development experience and extensive industry training.

Sandra Bergen joins CUETS from Saskatoon Credit Union, where she gained 15 years of progressive management experience, including several years of executive responsibility for Sales, Marketing, and Product and Service Development. In her new role as Vice President of Product Development, Sandi will draw on several years of involvement with electronic payment products, extensive understanding of the credit union system, undergraduate training in Commerce and a Masters degree in Environmental Studies in Cooperative Management.
In announcing the appointments, Kuss explained that "the card business is changing significantly, within an increasingly competitive and complex marketplace. These individuals will help CUETS and credit unions build on the major progress of the past few years to generate long term benefits for credit unions and members."

Over the next few months, Bergen is expected to continue the recruitment process for two additional associate vice presidents to provide greater focus on product leadership, development and performance, and ensuring that CUETS' plans are market-driven and client-centred.
