New CEO for Regina-based Electronic Transaction Services Company

Regina -- Stan Kuss was today welcomed to the position of Chief Executive Officer for CU Electronic Transaction Services Inc. (CUETS), the credit union system's national card-based financial services company. Kuss fills the position created by the early retirement of longtime CUETS CEO Chuck Kitchen on June 30, 1995.

Kuss is a veteran planner and administrator with 23 years of management experience in the Alberta credit union system. "He will provide strong leadership and direction for CUETS in the years ahead," said Sid Bildfell, Chairman of CUETS Board of Directors. "Stan has a solid background in credit union retail services and possesses excellent skills in strategic planning, policy development and financial management. His proven track record for achieving measurable results speaks well of his ability to make sound decisions and work well in a cooperative environment."

CUETS has grown steadily since its inception in 1981 and now employs more than 90 people in Regina. They are involved in delivering all aspects of a wide array of Credit Union MasterCard and other electronic payment services to more than 600,000 cardholders at 575 credit unions in nine provinces.

CUETS is owned by Credit Union Central of Saskatchewan, Credit Union Central of Alberta and Credit Union Central of Ontario.
