As a result of an asset purchase by TD Bank Group which is now complete, CUETS Financial - a division of MBNA Canada Bank and the issuer of your credit union MasterCard credit card - is now a division of The Toronto-Dominion Bank.

For the most part, it is business as usual and you will not notice any change to your credit card account. You will still see your credit union's name on your MasterCard credit card statement and you can continue to manage your credit card account just as you do today.

For your convenience, we have provided answers to some questions you may have right now. Please take a moment to look through these Frequently Asked Questions & Answers for information about your credit union MasterCard credit card (issued by CUETS Financial), your payments and contacting us.

Will there be any changes to my credit union MasterCard credit card account or to my account agreement?

At this time, there will be no immediate changes to your MasterCard credit card account and the current terms of your account agreement with CUETS Financial remain unchanged and in full effect. Your credit card account stays the same at this time and there is nothing different that you need to do.

Can I continue to use my credit union MasterCard credit card or will it be replaced with a new credit card?

There are no plans to replace your current MasterCard credit card issued by CUETS Financial. You can continue to use your current credit card and manage your credit card account just as you do today.

Are there any changes to either credit protection or the insurance included with my credit union MasterCard credit card(s)?

No. All benefits, exclusions and limitations for any insurance coverage offered by CUETS Financial that are included with your credit card account have not changed. Also, any credit monitoring and identity theft services and/or credit insurance programs that you are enrolled in will not be interrupted and coverage will continue to be provided by the underwriter or service provider of each product.

Will my credit union MasterCard credit card statement continue to come the same way it does today and will there be any changes to it? >

Your monthly MasterCard credit card statement will look the same as it does today, showing your credit union’s name, and you’ll receive it the same way you do today. Over time, you may start to see references to CUETS Financial as a division of The Toronto-Dominion Bank in some places on your MasterCard credit card statement and other credit card account documents, to provide a full legal description of the issuer of the credit union MasterCard credit card. Other than that, everything else will stay the same!

Does my credit union MasterCard credit card account still have the same payment due date?

Yes. Your payment due date will continue to be the same as currently shown on your monthly credit union MasterCard credit card account statement provided by CUETS Financial.

Are there any changes to how I make my MasterCard credit card payments?

You should make your regularly scheduled MasterCard credit card payments to CUETS Financial just as you do today. For your convenience, all current methods of payment will continue, so feel free to make your credit card payment the same way you always have. And if you have online access to your credit card account, continue to log in at www.cucardsonline.com.

Will there be any changes to how I can change the Personal Identification Number (PIN) for my credit union MasterCard credit card?

There will be no change as to how you can do this. Visit us at www.choicerewards.ca/chip or call 1-800-561-7849 for a list of your credit union locations where you can change your PIN.

What will happen to any reward points I have accumulated under my credit union MasterCard credit card account?

There will be no change to the rewards points you have accumulated with your credit union MasterCard credit card. They will remain in your points total and you will be able to redeem your rewards as you always have.

Will the contact preferences I have set up for my credit union MasterCard credit card account stay in place?

Yes, your contact preferences for your credit union MasterCard credit card account will continue to be honoured.

What should I do if I receive an email that looks like the sender was CUETS Financial or TD asking for information about my MasterCard credit card?

As a security measure, you should know that CUETS Financial and TD never use email to request personal account information. Therefore, for your protection, we recommend that you do not follow any links in such emails or provide any personal account information to anyone.
